Nurtured
A beautiful nurturing moment where the mom breastfeeds the baby while the baby sits protected between the two adults. It really touched me. I framed the photo in such a way that your attention is drawn to the baby, highlighting the baby’s vulnerability as it is nurtured and protected. The fact that the baby looked at me felt very special to me and makes the photo even stronger. The baby stays with their mother for about 10 months and thereafter will be weaned to live independently. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists the long-tailed macaque as Endangered, appearing on the IUCN’s Red List of Threatened Species.
